Currently loving: End of Summer Round-up

I haven't done one of these lists of "currently ____ing" since my middle school days. However, as summer is nearly its end, I've been reflecting back on some of my beauty (an a few non-beauty) that have really been stand-outs this summer. I thought that this would make a perfect Currenly Loving list. So without further ado, here are some of the items that I am Currently Loving (Summer '13 Edition)

Top concealers for Acne Prone Skin

Having a good concealer is just as, if not more important than a good foundation. Here are some of my favorites. These concealers all have great coverage and goes on smoothly. They will not cake (if applied correctly) and will last beautifully on your skin.
Expand for products mentioned:
Sonia Kashuk Hidden Agenda palette
Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer
Nars Stick Concealer in Custard and Ginger
Bobbi Brown Cream Concealer in Warm Beige
Revlon Photoready concealer in 002 Light and 003 Light Medium

Hope you guys enjoyed this video ;)

How to: Natural "No Makeup" Makeup

Rose gold nails

Currently wearing Orly's Rage . It's one if my all time favorites and can be described as the perfect rose gold color. Many of the rose gold colors out are tend to be just a copper or bronze shade. Not this one. Orly's rage is a beautiful reddish pink color with an overload of golden shimmer, giving it the perfect rose gold tone. It goes on opaque with 2 coats and is extremely smooth to apply. What do you guys think?

How To: transition easily from day to night makeup

Accutane/ Isotretinoin: My experience

This is basically an overview of my experience with Accutane and I tried to cover some of the major topics related to you. Isotretinoin is a very potent drug commonly used to treat acne. This account is only my experience with it and should be considered as only one girl's review of the drug. I am not an expert and it will not necessarily work the same for others. Please keep that in mind as you watch this video.
If you have any more questions, I would be happy to answer them to the best of my ability so post them in the comments below.
xoxo

June Favorites (ft. Sonia Kashuk, Physician's Formula, YSL, Hourglass)

I've had a great start to the summer and been keeping busy. I'm sorry that this video took me so long to get out, but I did get a chance to try out a few new products, rediscover some old favorites and also try out some not-so favorites. I was especially disappointed in the Physican's Formula Matte Eyeshadow Quad because I had such high expectations.

May Tops and Flops

I can't believe that May is over and summer is finally here. I hope everyone had a good month.  Mine was filled began a series of finals and then hectic moving and packing to move out of my apartment. It has since slowed down quite a bit and I've finally been able to enjoy a decent meal and some good t.v. (yes, that is how I love to relax.)

How to: Get Heat-Proof Summer Makeup

Along with all the sunshine and beach time, summer time also comes with heat, sweat and humidity. For someone with skin as oily as mine, these are not ideal conditions for my makeup. This tutorial will show you how to get that truly budge-proof makeup and it is a companion video to my Summer Beauty Essentials video.

Review: Dior Shimmer Star in Amber Diamonds

In my search for the perfect highlighter, this product often topped the list of best or Holy Grail highlighters. Bloggers and professional artists alike seem to love Dior's Amber Diamonds for imparting that healthy glow to the face. Its become kind of a cult classic and naturally, it was on my shopping list. However, due to its hefty price tag, it took me a while to finally bite the bullet, but I must say, I am pleased with my purchase.

Mani Mania: Cobalt Blue

On my nails today: Butter London's Blagger.

I recently purchased this at Ulta because the bright cobalt hue just really caught my eye. It's a little bit less bright than Essie's Butler Please, which can look a little too loud. This is with a Nailtique strengthener as a base coat, two coats of Blagger, although it was opaque with just one. And also a coat of Seche Vite top coat. What do you guys think?
